Recipe for Georgie’s Lamb Burgers
Ingredients
Cabbage Base
- Olive oil
- 1 large green cabbage, cut into thick rounds
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
Lamb Burgers
- 1.5 lb ground lamb
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jalapeño, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- Pinch of cinnamon
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Assembly
- 1 red onion, sliced
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese

Equipment
- Sheet pan
- Mixing bowl
Directions
- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- Slice cabbage into thick rounds and place on a sheet pan. Drizzle with olive oil and season lightly.

- In a bowl, mix the lamb, minced garlic, seeded jalapeño, cilantro, cumin, curry, turmeric, and a tiny pinch of cinnamon.
- Form into burger patties.

- Place a slice of red onion on each cabbage round, then place a lamb patty on top.
- Roast for 20 minutes.
- Top with mozzarella cheese.
- Return to the oven for 5 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the edges are caramelized.
