Recipe for Georgie’s Turkey Burgers Roasted on Sweet Cabbage
Ingredients
Cabbage Base
- Olive oil
- 1 large green cabbage, cut into thick rounds
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
Ground Turkey
- 1.5 lb ground turkey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jalapeño, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- Pinch of cinnamon
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Assembly
- 1 red onion, sliced
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese

Equipment
- Sheet pan
- Mixing bowl
Directions
- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- Slice cabbage into thick rounds and place on a sheet pan. Paint the edges well to prevent burning. Drizzle with olive oil and season lightly.

- In a bowl, mix the lamb, minced garlic, seeded jalapeño, cilantro, cumin, curry, turmeric, and a tiny pinch of cinnamon.
- Form into burger patties.

- Place a slice of red onion on each cabbage round, then place a lamb patty on top.
- Roast for 20 minutes.
- Top with mozzarella cheese.
- Return to the oven for 5 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the edges are caramelized.

Ground Turkey combined with garlic, cilantro, mozzarella, Big Daddy's Seasoning, Cooked Over Sweet Caramelized Cabbage,

Method
- Preheat oven to 425℉
- Slice cabbage into Rounds about an inch thick. Thick enough to hold together after roasting. Place on a sheet pan. Drizzle with olive oil and season lightly with sea salt.1 cabbage
- In a bowl, combine1.5 pounds Ground Turkey, 2 tablespoons cilantro, teaspoon seven spice, teaspoon paprika, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, 4 All Season by Big Daddy, ⅓ cups mozzarella cheese
- Form into burger patties
- Place a slice of red onion on each cabbage round, then place the turkey patty in top.1 red onion
- Roast for 20 minutes. Turning the tray halfway between cooking time.
- Top with Mozzarella cheese.
- Place under Broiler or return to the oven for 5 minutes. Until the cheese is melt and edges are caramelized.
Broiler is high heat applied from the top of the oven applying direct heat to the cheese. Watch closely to prevent burning.
